Sometimes around last week a twenty-eight year old man, going by the names Alexander Monsoon of British descent was killed under custody in the hands of the infamous Kenya police force at the south coast of the island Mombasa. The boy was nabbed for allegedly smoking a spliff of marijuana outside one of the popular night clubs with a friend. Period. ........
Sometimes again in the year 2000 or 2001, another boy called Sila was shot dead by police in a bush ambush at some woods along the play field of the University of Nairobi. Crime? They were smoking marijuana! A huge student body force poured in to the streets and engaged the notorious cops in battle for days on end till the University shut down while investigations were set to unravel the circumstances of the cold blood murder. Such investigations usually take as long as would get the public busy till such a time that other important eye-catching issues will pass that incident and the file be hurled in to the dustbin of record or history as the case may be.
Well, our government is very paranoid when it comes to dealing with marijuana, a small time substance compared to being stealth whenever they approach the big-time multimillion dollar drug-baron cocaine-heroine deals.Whenever they approach the marijuana substance users, consumers or growers, mayhem usually accompanies arbitrary arrests and detentions, unlawful torture, brutality not to mention the heavy fines and penalties that the archaic law that's never been touched by reforms allows. I would primarily like to mention that marijuana is largely used, consumed and grown in all parts of the republic by people of all genres, i.e. the lay as well as the career professionals in both the public and private sectors: from the legislatures to doctors to lawyers to engineers, teachers, members of the disciplined forces, civil servants, all have amongst them adept users, consumers who rely on the growers in the far flung sub-urban and country sides. In fact in the rural areas, it is considered the equivalent of a cigarette since it's use and consumption is immemorial.
Delving a deep further , I would like to note with special concern that marijuana is legal in the Netherlands and as is now common knowledge most European Countries and some states in The US have softened their laws regarding the use, consumption and growth of marijuana. Marijuana or hemp as preferably known in other countries has a lot of use ranging from industrial to medical. It produces the best paper , I hear favorable for making paper money and still it's seed are used for the production of oil. It's an important derivative for the manufacture of euthanasia as well as most tablets, syrups or capsules found in drug stores.
Given the unwarranted torturous, brutal, libelous approach tantamount to that unleashed to murder, terrorism or armed robbery criminals;it is highly hypocritical because the more serious drug offenders { cocaine / heroine}go Scot free and in the worst sycophant circumstances get taken care-of by the very government purportedly harassing, torturing and killing the other sublime users / consumers of some harmless weed called marijuana. It's along these unfounded double standards and bureaucratic mentality that the government saw it fit to distribute up to 80,000 free needles and syringes to curb the spread of HIV / AIDS among the users of inject able narcotic drugs { rd: heroine }. Government reports say there are 26,000 heroine injectors in Mombasa followed by 20,000 in Nairobi. They have not estimated the numbers in the other major towns of which I think the difference is countered for in the remaining of the 80,000. The men of the cloth claim the govt, should instead build more rehab centers for addicts as a measure to curb more sharing of the needles and syringes and discourage any more youths to engage in narcotic drugs as a means of 'getting high.' Well, talk about getting high. Everybody gets their kicks in different ways . Some take alcohol, some chew khat { illegal in neighboring Tanzania where it attracts heavy sentences and penalties- the same khat is very legal in Kenya where it's widely chewed by people of all genre. }, some take prescription drugs, some take lots of tea / coffee, some engage in sex, homo and or hetero-sexual ........name it. Now, almighty god I would like to know who is eschewed with this mighty task of deciding / forbidding who get to get their kicks by using and / or consuming what . Later virtual s, logistics.
Seven earth-like exo-planets in terms of size, density and solar-radiation orbiting their dwarf-star (sun) in TRAPPIST-1 Solar System 40 light-years away whereby three hang in the 'habitable zone' {in relative proportional-dimensions to earth from its sun} indicating they can support 'liquid'-water on the surface making them potential destinations for technogeneticultural anatomically-modern postranshominization civilizations to colonize for habitation should a catastrophe threaten us.

POLITICS : Superstition.
Yeh my friend , as I was saying, regarding the place of belief systems in this second millennium, twenty first century; a large part of our society { rd: Africa third world countries }have their life styles defined by a subconscious deeply entrenched in the mysterious power of witchcraft / magic. What has been shelved by others in the bins of history is still very much alive with us .To elaborate more, take the fathomable example of another category of these witches / wizards: the the beholders of the evil eye. This sector specializes on unleashing / perpetrating their evil wishes just by casting their eyes on the targeted victim. It's usually directed to breast-feeding babies and feeding adults / kids where by all that is ingested and digested turns-out rotting once it lands in the pot-belly of the victim; the victim then consequently falls ill moments after and may be left to die that very day unless an expert whistle-blower diagnoses the cause from the symptoms and advices on the customary prescriptions involving the evil-eyed culprit sharing the same food / drink from one plate or cup with the victim to neutralize and reverse the death sentence. I wonder what satisfaction they get from such murders when they get away with it.
Anther instance is exemplified by the night-runners whereby some have in their custody the arm of a dead person with which should they succeed to slap one with, they go instantly dumb........on the spot never to speak again. There is also the instance whereby the witch will place some evil concoction on some 'wanted victim's' path knowing pretty well their daily routines; once the victim crosses this paraphernalia they are on death row, doomed to die under mysterious circumstances or illnesses. The again we have those witches who have the habit of making people sleep-walk and go on ahead to dig their farms in the dead of the night before retiring once again to their beds { before the cocks crow };only to wake-up the next day muddied allover their legs and feeling exceptionally dead -tired without knowing why.Again these same kind of witch has the mysterious powers to make it rain only in their farm-plots leaving all the other surrounding farms as sunny-dry as drought-stricken arid lands to the bewilderment of the neighborhood. Alas, know then my dear friend that with this weird species of witches and wizards, they can only marry amongst themselves for they can not procreate with mere human beings who don't posses these powers. So should you happen to fall in love with a witch or a wizard as the case may be , they will have to secretly induct you in to the practices of this secret-society, either formerly under hypnosis without your permission { for in such a case it's a 'dear-love' situation }or as a hobby-play-not-so-serious-a-thing, with your permission. There is no turning back once you are in, it's that addictive and that deadly serious! Then , for the jinni-keepers, the family usually sacrifices one of their offspring who is turned in to a kind of a zombie / zoo-zoo.......they look like they have the down's syndrome what with saliva slimming down their mouths and dim-wits. They are kept for the rest of their lives ........i.e. if they are allowed a long life span. In most case , they die young so as not to raise any eye-brows. They are called the sin-eaters, the evil-warders, those who pave the way for the good, riches and success of the family.
Hence is the continent stuck in the dark ages for science is disregarded and not fully exploited only to the extent of the basic infrastructures: a road here, a school there, a hospital, shopping center hundreds of miles apart. A large fraction of the political leaders in government are number one devotees of witchcraft especially come election. The Sherman trade advertisements for all and sundry are in every corner square-inch of the towns and cities. The politicians-devotees need human sacrifices for them to succeed in securing their statuses in government.Just wait and see for yourselves, count the number of unwarranted mysterious deaths and violence s then keep me in the know. Later, logistics.

POLITICS : Superstition
Yeh bloggers world wide, today I choose to continue on the controversial topic of superstition based on porous belief systems fueled by misinformation and / or lack of it.In the days gone past people beliefs were a subject of myth to explain the many puzzles regarding origin of life and here after, more so the day to day unexplainable phenomena that surrounded them. Well to date despite science having broken down the many dogmas and coming-up with reasonable answers, in this our part of the world there are still may people who base their observations on myths.Natural disasters as well as the surrounding phenomena is explained by superstition. For example, dreams which have been explained to occur during the Rapid Eye Movement stage of sleep whereby the mind goes down memory lane and replays the events of the day in whatsoever manner sometimes is taken to mean some telepathic message being relayed from alien sources. We have societies where in case a murder occurs the victim will precisely relay the culprits identities and even expose where its corpse is hidden to a close living relative. Two,we have varying expositions of witchcraft power witnessed amongst those still residing deep in the reserves and witch-burning is not news in such societies.;the culprits usually turn-out to be old females.Of course wizards are the male counterparts. There are the infamous night runners who run naked at night to their secret society meeting places.I am trying to inform you what bases this strongly entrenched belief in witchcraft governing people's day-to-day lives, senior as well as ordinary citizens. When night falls and the night runners begin plying their trade the villages are chilled in to a type of paralysis whereby no one can move a feet / finger, it has a kind of hypnotizing spell.
Then we have those night runners who ride on wild beasts backs, be it lions, leopards, hyenas, hippopotamuses, name it. They aren't the worst..........We have that very powerful legion of rainmaking lightening-unleashing witches / wizards. Pray you don't cross their path for they can make rain fall within the shortest time possible and single you out of a crowd for their electrocuting-lightening attack. Thus a majority of the community fellows are forced to solicit good-luck / evil-protection charms.Jokingly, some of these charms are nowadays called anti-missiles. One has to be coated by a Sherman / witchdoctor against any missiles that may be propelled towards their direction or that of their kins and property. The procedure calls for laboratory specifications: one may be asked to bring cattle, sheep, goats, cockerels { and mind-you of specified colors }for sacrifices geared to appease the deadly gods of life and death. One may have to under-go live burial up to the neck for several days to guard against 'missiles' in their life time.People are known to even keep 'jinns' for their success in life besides warding-off evil spirits. Thus , going by the witch doctors prescription / terms and conditions such jinni-keepers usually spare one room in their houses for that jinni and they feed it as well regularly on fresh blood. Such a room is usually out-of bounds........supposed to be kept as a top secret. The witch-doctors have an array of disturbing paraphernalia at their disposal which they identify as their tools of trade. Come elections the contenders can't afford to loose and they go far and wide to meet the veterans of this trade. Later virtual s, logistics.

POLITICS : Superstititions
Hi virtual s, long time no communicate. I am telling you it's a crazy world down here...... in this dungeon of a state.Today I take this opportunity to share with you my thoughts about superstitions and belief systems as is lived-out here. Our world here is mainly governed on beliefs and not reasonable information as pertains to the scientific world. We are coming close to elections early March next year and the witchcraft market is full of buzz cause politicians of all walks of life , informed as well as primitive are going to jostle the ques to their different 'medicine men' for or rather to appease the gods that be for a success in the elections.
All those people you here that go to worship houses in the shepherding of 'the men of cloth' still visit the more popular and practical Sherman. The Sherman or witchcraft practitioner rules everyday lives using different apparatuses including verses of some 'holy books.' Thus, the 'evil eye' is a common phenomenon in our societies and albinos are a great ingredient in the concoctions of the magic men.The political share-holders bid a huge part of their political muscle stake on the word of these witchcraft practitioners and so are our elections riddled with bloodshed and massive irregularities. These medicine men will decide who marries who, who gets what job or for that matter who's business succeeds. I'll elaborate later please, logistics.

LOVE
Yeh bloggers, hope you all are doing fine.It is impossible for anybody to live without intimate sexual relationship. It is even more astounding that naturally in a heterosexual relationship, the man is supposedly not only the bread winner but also the head of the family ,the one who decides and takes over the initiative in any scenario. That man is polygamous by nature is an adage best demonstrated by life in its natural happenings. More surprising is the often open-but-hidden fact that the woman is also just as polyandrous as the man is polygamous. It is a fact that it would be improbable to have just one sexual partner for one's all life, so it simply follows that one must change diet whether by coincidence or plan. This a fact many couples don't want to face cause they find it extremely unpalatable.
Our sisters and brothers the Masai recognized this age old adage and decided to implement it in their traditional cultural heritage and hence came up with the practice of allowing members of the same age-set who by-went rituals at the same time to share sexual intercourse without causing emotional heat-ups which may result in to separations and divorces. What you simply need to do in case you want to bang or get freaky with your next homestead neighbor is to just simply dig your spear on the doorstep of your age-group's brother manyatta to let the dear brother in case he comes and stumbles upon love noise emanating from the bedroom. In a typical modern scenario one would be emotionally charged to unleash their 'chopper' or machete and kill the love thief on the spot but not with our dear Masai. He may decide to spear his turn in your manyatta doorstep instead.
In other words what I am trying to come to terms with is the fact that the same practice continues albeit in a subtle manner where one can have as many marriage / sexual partners in their life times provided they partake of the sweet waters one at a time before separating / divorcing to move on to the other sweet water-point. Gone are the days when virginity was upheld as a virtue. I think it pays well to be an active player. After all isn't prostitution the oldest trade ever. Well, sometimes back,His Worship The Mayor of Nairobi came-up with a proposal to decriminalize and legalize prostitution but the men of the cloth here wouldn't have any of it.They'd rather people keep on having their various options of the share of their cakes in secret as it has always been.Whats your take on that ?Old men would prefer girls younger than their old wives and the vice versa is just true as well .We had one late pioneer by the name Wambui, caused lots of hues and cries but when the liberals from overseas do it on sea shore and the beach hotels,it doesn't raise much concern. Some clever customs thus allow it within the precincts of their cultures.
Wouldn't you agree with me that sex is a basic need just like food, good for your mental and physical well being.I heard that what ever happens within the four walls of somebody's roof shouldn't be subjected to public opinion.I wonder whether the human race is at risk of extinction given the very vigorous race with which homosexuality is gaining grounds, worldwide. That all they have to do is adopt kids to make their weird unions resemble the traditional family. Is it fashionable to be gay nowadays? 'god forbid.'

POLITICS:Our New 'Studded' Chief Justice: Incompatibility
Hi bloggers world wide, what's up? I would like to tell the world today about the strides the Kenya society has made which the old guard has to come to terms with. We have been having a new Chief Justice for quiet sometime now.The news about him is that he is 'studded' on the left ear lobe with what I think must be diamond. Wow, will all of you who share in this new Kenyan dawning really stand-up?There was a lot of hue and cry from different quarters of the Kenya stake holders before he got appointed. You see we came-up with a new constitution which is just coming from promulgation and is yet to be fully implemented the billion-shilling cost not withstanding, although that singular cost has chipped in to the economic status, making hard times ahead for the middle and low-income earners. So with this new document in place did new procedures and criteria take effect with regard to the appointment to public offices of all qualifying / eligible applicants. Interested candidates had to under go stringent vetting on matters ethical and integral so that the ordinary citizen isn't duped any more like the long gone days of wanton rule.
Studded, the new CJ caught everybody's eyes and the query which lingered most on everybody's lips and subconscious was whether the CJ was or had or for that matter had had gay tendencies. The informed, exposed, democratic and very civilized CJ went ahead to characteristically defend his attire basing his argument on culture and what have you. He was successfully appointed to the coveted seat sharing in the business of governance.Kenyans are a surprising lot. There was nothing astonishing about somebody wearing 'bling, bling' to the office for in no way does it affect the skills or qualifications that one puts to work at the work place. Indeed, in a new change of attitude to the judiciary the CJ,his deputy and other high ranking officials went ahead and did away wholly with all the other head and body regalia associated with such learned friends when it came to taking the oath of office. Kenyans are astonishing cause a big number of the population are die-hard fans of the U.K. premier league where their favorite football players aren't only studded in both ears but have the habit of regularly going to saloons for hair make-ups and body massages.Another huge fraction of the population are die-hard adherents of the famous Holly Wood Stars who are adorned in more puzzling complex ways which would make our CJ's stud look like nursery play.
Apparently, the CJ studied in The US Where hair plaiting, tattooing and ear piercings are a regular feature of the society. Now, whoever these breed of double-standard Kenyans were trying to elude I do not know for even in their own backyard, The Masai and a whole lot of other ethnic groups have kept this practice of ear-piercing since time immemorial.I would like to reiterate to modern-day Kenyans that whatever one adorns has got nothing whatsoever to do with their mental faculties or capabilities of the same.
Well, last but not least as a rejoinder to my last posting about 'Arusha Vs. The Hague,' I would like to mention that the position of the Judiciary regarding crimes of such nature is that the law should be let to take its due course without interferences tantamount to subjugating that very due course. This was echoed by The Judiciary when non other than this 'our new studded ' CJ ' rubber-stamped the stance taken by a high court judge Nicholas Ombija last year in November when he issued an arrest warrant against Sudan's President Al Bashir who is wanted by The ICC for crimes committed against humanity { Sudan Chapter }. This was against the executive which strongly objected cause it finds itself and its erstwhile cronies in the same boat as the incumbent Bashir.Use a criminal to hide a criminal. Later virtual s.

POLITICS:Incompatibility:Arusha Vs. The Hague
Hello there everybody once again. The five East African heads of State met under the auspices of The East African Court of Justice sometimes last week to deliberate upon the African Union declaration to undertake the due trial and prosecution of the four Kenyans charged of crimes against humanity that led to the killings of tens of thousands and still left hundreds of thousands internally and externally displaced to date. This comes in the wake of the recent spurt of numerous African leaders and / or their cronies being charged by The International Community at The International Criminal Court based in The Hague with the above heinous crimes against humanity
Well, of interest is the fact that these our gullible, corrupt African leaders have to find a way out to cover their evil deeds at the behest of the ordinary lay citizenry who has payed by blood and whole productive lives. That way is the clever intention to expedite amendment of the treaty that established This EACJ to extend jurisdiction of the same court to cover crimes against humanity. The amendment to be introduced thus wasn't there in the first place so that in essence means it is just a clever ploy by the guilty powers that be to save their 'sacred cows,' the-holier-than-thou special / senior citizens as they so infamously refer to themselves from facing the full force of the law. They are applying double standards for they see themselves as above the law. Indeed, this is a clarion call echoed by The East African Legislative Assembly after being motioned by The A.U.
Now, what I find extremely funny and unfathomable is the false shameless argument by the wife of the prime minister of Kenya that the cases should specifically be referred back to The EACJ so that the suspects may evade or be saved from the long hush prison sentences awaiting them as a matter of justice to the victims and the conscience of the civilized world. She goes on to give an example of her spouse, The Prime Minister who has been jailed in previous occasions from political crimes such as an attempted coup back in 1982 which left thousands displaced, died and / or sent to prison. She laments that she knows the suspects will languish in jail and sympathizes sharing in the anguish of the suspects' immediate families. She is not in any way affected by the thousands of deaths the suspects visited upon the victims and their families, neither is she moved by the still thousands of internally and externally displaced victims who are trying to get back the pieces of their lives together from scratch, aided by the pure in conscious and conscience. All that matters to her and her ilk I guess is the elections at hand which might just spur her spouse to helm of powerful rule. They, as a team must do all in their power to garner the votes at whatever price whether people have to die or be displaced.
So is the case in Africa. The prisons are for the poor lay who know neither this nor that . The immediate former president Moi aptly referred to the as 'The Wanjikus'-for they know nothing about the constitution nor the law in general. They are there to be exploited to the benefit of those in power. They are untouchable and so the vouching for them to evade justice to be done and seen to be done to the victims and by the civilized world. The idea of jail I thought was correctional / rehabilitative in purpose and content but again, lest you forget that 'sacred cows' and holier-than-thou citizens are above the ordinary mortals and as such shouldn't be subjected to the law. Remember the P.M.'s spouse shares the same views as the P.M.
The African lay peasant is tired and it is a high time that the continent was transformed to first if not at least second world standards guided by the universal laws of democracy, progress and civilization.Otherwise we might just begin vouching for expatriate presidents to take us where the rest of the civilized world under the auspices of the U.N. IS going. Later virtual s.

POLITICS:Reading From Different Scripts: Incompatibility.
As a continuation of the last article regarding it raining cats and dogs leading to consequent cyclic floods that leave havoc upon human life, that of livestock and plants in the wake of the uncountable, untapped bursting of the banks of the different water bodies and their tributaries; a blessing which is being let to go to waste and / or to the dogs, I would like to use this as a demonstration of the erratic reasoning affecting the exploitation and thus abuse of the full capacities of the mental faculties of these our myopic leaders, largely of the African third world countries. But have it as you may, it is not that these high-way robbers we have in the name of leaders are practicing 'man eat man capitalism' out of being misinformed or lack of exposure for they have both these two factors abundantly at their disposal; but rather because they are intentionally practicing what they are as real time opportunists exploiting the laity of the uninformed, unexposed masses. Only a small fraction of these queer leaders can not be held culpable for they joined elective governance to be rewarded with plum portfolios by their political godfathers to serve the artificial ethnic emotions of the masses as a whole...- of which they don't warrant or qualify so-to-speak-of in the first place.
Incompatibility comes in the wake of interactions / socialization s within the Kenyan society and between the communities there-in as well as between the government and the citizenry. Communications are at cross-roads. Nobody understands or comprehends what the other means or is saying and that is why the electorate is always being successfully hoodwinked to contract such a rotten caliber of fellows to hold-on to the reigns of government. The sly leaders front the cannibal capitalists with a 'money language' the lay don't understand. The intellectuals are well taken care-of to have any time to bother about misplaced priorities. That is why it would suffice to say be completely intolerable for any persons in their right thinking capacities to consider making such undeveloped habitats their permanent dwelling havens for the reality on the ground does not conjure at all with the u topic images that the United Nations club of progressive countries is trying to ideologies and / or realize. The third-world is a far-fetched dream from the first-world across the spectrum of all the developed / civilized / democratic indexes factors. If your from abroad you will be excited by the adventures that awaits one as they try to reconnect / re-attach with the form of life as it was on planet earth on the early stages of evolution, but the that is all. When it comes to the social framework ,you will realize as well that it is not only really hard to hold any decent conversation at all { and with a large fraction of the lay populace this is the case }but it is completely impossible to have any discourse at all so to say , for not only do you find yourself at cross-roads, speaking at cross-purposes due to the difference in language and perception brought about by lack of information and exposure affecting in turn the civilization of the populace. I will elaborate later virtual s, logistics.......Africa.

REJOINDER:Reading From Different Scripts:Kenya Floods.
Yeah my dear virtual beings, like I was saying a while ago , trying to demonstrate the fallacious thought patterns of the Kenyan political-leader-breed which then goes-on to erroneously not only mislead the the public and the world at large but also their very own conscious and conscience. These turn-coat opportunists have no business running the government in the first place for we have seen from any angle projected that they are only strategically placed to cater for their own pockets and those of their families and immediate friends. Remember the "it's our time to eat" syndrome?
No wonder then any upright thinking civilized cosmopolitan would not wish to seriously consider these parts of the world their permanent dwelling hordes, unless it's just for holidays or for some expatriate work. Why? Because the virgin environment here lacks the necessary infrastructural facilities that would accompany such complex, developed and evolved brain think-tanks. The situation is intolerable. Here it is an implicit-explicit personality-culture oriented society based on static / retrogressive traditional thought-patterns. Later virtual s, logistics.

POLITICS : Reading From Different Scripts: Kenya Floods.
Hi dear blogger s it's good to be on board with you once again. I was caught-up in circumstances trying to figure-out this Ad sense issue; you know we got to strive to not only earn a life but to make ends meet especially when given such a decent opportunity. Though it's yet to work-out, we book lovers are driven first and foremost with the urge to jot down our thoughts on a platform accessible to fellow book lovers like you loggers.
FLOODS are wrecking havoc in Kenya like ever always. At least it's not news to the people that matter or are affected by these annual floods, although the proportions the flood disaster is taking in Kenya is more or less equivalent to what the Hurricanes do in / to the US. So far so good: around two hundred and fifty thousand ONLY have the floods managed to displace in Kenya and a figure approximating anywhere between sixty five and seventy are now dead. Schools have been shut down meaning interrupted classes all over the country. Livestock as well as crops have also been destroyed and if you should try to sum-up the loses, the figure definitely runs in to a few tens if not hundreds of millions, Kenya Shillings.
Now,what is most worrying is the government's leaders' approach to this cyclic natural-disaster which like the wildebeest migration happens annually around the same month, same date and time of the year. No body actually cares whether people are displaced or killed from the floods unless it is more directly related to politics like the post election violence that took to the same proportions. I would like to state categorically that the government has the necessary resources and wherewithal to harness and prevent once and for all this harm that the floods are visiting to the citizenry allover the country. This is especially so given the fact that Kenya being a Rain-Agriculture Economy, it could do a lot with the free rain water coming annually like the wildebeest phenomenon.
The problem lies squarely with the wanting thought patterns of the elected government leaders which construes and guides their approach to life. All and sundry, including the government's Disaster Response Management teams as well as the citizenry usually anticipate and even go ahead to predict these annual phenomenal disaster but they never catch-up or beat the flood waters to its tune.Simply put in other words, I think like I have mentioned before in my other reports, there is a huge clog in the governments think-tank quarters. The leaders there are incompatible with the principles / tenets of leadership. They are indeed wanting in perception and information for any other expatriate would categorically solve the flood issue once and for all amicably both to harness the flood waters as well as to exploit the sames beneficial use to Kenyan citizenry. I 'll continue later due to logistics.

Politics: Rejoinder
To continue with the article I was writing above on US-Kenya politics, the point I was trying to drive home is that there is really no "goodwill" so to speak of coming from our crop of leaders. Now whether it is a generational -gap problem or whether the issue has to do with the inherent so-called evil-nature character of the uncouth, unbridled, uncivilized man is up to any logic-reasonable fellow to conclude.
There lies very huge tracts of virgin-undeveloped land areas in Kenya. A good example is the North-Eastern parts of Kenya specifically Turkana where oil was recently discovered. The director of the drilling-exploring oil firm could not put it more aptly when she correctly referred to that oil-rich area which has now caught the special attention of the country's government as "comparable to the terrain of the moon's surface." Indeed, all I can add to that is that that was just a glimpse in to the state-of-affairs of the larger fraction of all land of the square area of Kenya. For example in Turkana the would welcome visitors from other parts of Kenya with greetings asking them "How Kenya is doing." What in essence that means is that they are far flung from any infrastructural structures and facilities that would give even the remotest inkling that their territory is part and parcel of Kenya. It is a sad tale that these people marginalized since independence have had nothing in connection with the rest of Kenya; that they have to walk to neighboring country Ethiopia's shopping markets when going to take the month's stock for no other reason than that it is nearer their habitat and would only take a day's journey compared to the three or four day's it would take connecting to the nearest Kenyan shopping markets. That in the outer-most interior parts of this oil-rich Turkana Land,we still have members of the tribe walking around in nothing but sisal strings tied around their waist with some-kind of leafy covering on their reproductive organs. They are that marginalized from civilization. The same scenario of backwardness is repeated in multiple regions all over the country.
I think, albeit the governments slow reform pace, it finally dawned upon them, the-powers -that-be of the day, either due to formal agitation or shame that they finally took it seriously, picked their tools and hence formed a new ministerial portfolio namely " ministry of metropolitan development.... blah, blah, blah" to look specifically in to the affairs of marginalized-hardship areas and peoples. Nevertheless, it is not a pressing priority for who will take care of the public coffers given that the elected leaders have only a mere five-year term tenure.Worse still going by precedent of following in the footsteps of the old home-guards who were handed self-governance and independence on a silver platter, once elected, these sly highway-robbers-club a.k.a. legislatures make it a rule and a sport to out-do each other on thieving the lay public in broad day light.
Multi-billion financial dollar scandals are the order of the day fueled by ethnicity and the infamous " It is our time to eat" syndrome. You see, Kenyan politics are divided and guided between, amongst and by the tribal chiefs' power baron-brokers who exploit the laity of the uninformed Kenyan-mass majority. Politics: The US Factor in Con-current Kenyan Politics
Hi virtual people worldwide, today I have the pleasure to comment and share opinions on the democracy from an American point of view if nobody minds. You see, this is quiet natural given that Kenya stands a special mention in regard to U.S.A. politics simple because the democratic leader there has ancestral roots here. The president of The U.S.A. has a deep background connecting him to Kenya and it goes unmentioned but noticed that since he won the presidency of the leading superpower on an agenda / platform of CHANGE he has not set foot in Kenya despite paying numerous courtesy / official calls to Kenya's neighboring countries.
Well, it goes unsaid that it is not within his prerogative to decide which and what countries to visit, and that this is the sole prerogative of his administration. An administration which has stood by the tenets of democracy for well over two-hundred years. So we can safely conclude or presume that they know what they are doing or trying to do. It is a sad tale that Kenya or it's government there-of is not only considered not to meet the threshold of democracy but is seen as well as not even willing to in the first place to meet the democratic criterion.
Nonetheless, Obama on his own personal initiative has taken it upon himself to set the model of successful governance or democracy-practice by putting in place the cornerstone of what is expected to stimulate and spur the out-growth of a city at his father's birth-place Kogelo. What once resembled the arid undeveloped North-Eastern Kenya is now miles ahead of very many towns within the country that begun the race ages ago. The basics including miles of road to ease the transportation crisis and electricity transmission lines plus other relevant social amenities to kick-start the development of that virgin land.
The glaring problem is that we have no leaders with proper Change / Reformist agenda, they are all there for their own pockets first. It is a situation of "god for us all and everybody else for themselves," i.e. a raw form of "man eat man capitalism."Later elaborations virtual s..........logistics.

Love
The world really is an amazing place especially when it comes to interactions in the society and even so nowadays in this cosmopolitan era. All peoples of the worlds Nations find themselves side by side in all countries. Love between the different / same sexes continues to raise emotions even amongst non-affiliated parties.Love is hard to come by.
I recently read about the latest technology involving the freezing of embryos, sperms and eggs for future growth and development and I thought........ "my, at long last it seems science has jumped the hurdle of keeping pace with the biological time for spouses who wish to marry and raise kids; for spouses who value the age-old family traditions." Thus , a married couple can safely decide to post-pone raising kids if thy find it a nuisance in to their married-working life till say after retirement, without qualms...provided there is consent between the couple. Surprisingly for me at thirty-four years of age, I find this a viable option given that life in third world Africa is mere existence surviving at the barest minimum of basics for the large majority. Africa is just waking-up to industrialization with little or no capacity at all to embrace the fruits of civilization. That is why when somebody mentions Africa abroad, the images that conjure-up in anybodies mind is just hunger, starvation, famines ,droughts, senseless wars, disease, corruption to name but a few. I am single, my marriage subjected to better lawful governance which can accommodate a welfare system and / or more employment opportunities.
The same applies to millions others who not only live in squalid sub-human conditions but whose fate was sealed even before they were born ;for Africa to get out of this quagmire it will take not only technocrats but willing leaders of goodwill. Now if you ask me ,this species is very hard to come by here in Africa. Our life-spans have been shortened / curtailed due the the hard bearing economic conditions. Most of the economies are rain-agriculture based. Thus you either be smart and adapt to hit and run relationships or just decide to spread your wild oats far and wide without taking any paternal accredit ion or responsibility. It is even harder when you can not find an informed, civilized and exposed mate due to the shortage in the prerequisite infrastructural facilities responsible for such a populace. Here, the majority are lay, with primitive tendencies in terms of behavior, fit for those who only care about hot-rough sex.Period. You see in such situations, even communication becomes a tall order. Later virtual friends.

My Niche: The African Experience; Kenyan Perspective
Hi fellow blogger s, it has been a long time but now I am back on board to share with you what is happening or not in this remote part of the world. As a matter of principle I would like to welcome you all aboard my forum as I take you through a familiarization tour of my home ground's backyard .The city I dwell-in is called Mombasa, an old island spanning the ages of enlightenment which brings together a cacophony of different peoples from across the world, clashing and getting entangled in cultures which have given rise to what makes-up the top-most layer of the present cosmopolitan island . The island is quite small but it has stories to thrill your blood and make your heart-beat near / come close to a stop. One can tour the whole island reaching its shore ends from all the four directions of the compass within slightly less than forty-five minutes to be precise.Excuse me please ,I will continue later due to logistics.
Hello there everybody. You know what I am still new on boars blogger and thus still learning the ropes of the trade , i.e. managing my blogs as well as the site itself which more often than not happens to be down.Hey what is hot now in this minuscule town is the undersea rebellion that is slowly taking shape and form in terms of calls for secession. It is a long story that began as an agitation against the perceived marginalization of the coastal people whose main city is this Mombasa. In the beginning, it consisted of something along the lines of cat and mouse games where the aggrieved party and brought businesses to a stop by causing chaos, albeit organized but which by far affected the economic factors / players in the job markets. Things are now really bad ,the govt. is slowly being brought to its knees at the negotiating table and it is having to acknowledge the grievances of the affected as real and not just opportunistic. The constant on-and-off cat and mouse games have turned into ambushes and counter ambushes; people have been dislocated during its highs and relocated at its lows just like the infamous post election violence of 2007.The indigenous' intellectual's are quoting past pre-colonial agreements which have a heavy bearing on the legal status of the coast's gerrymandered region. The coastal region is very productive and rich in some rare minerals not to mention the abundant resources.People want federalism here so that they can have a say and control over the resources being exploited under their noses. Keep in touch later.
